During our herborizings in the Côte d'Azur, Maritim Alps and Liguria we have discovered a great number of new localities of vascular cryptogams. The reading of this work shows that numerous species localized in the high mountains shooted also in the Prealpes de Grasse, where they took refuge in humid and cold places. It is interesting to point out three new species in this region: Isoetes velata, in small puddles of Esterel and Maures; Ophioglossum azoricum, a species of western France, in «La Colle du Rouet» (Esterel); Diphasium alpinum, new species for the Ligurian Alps in Pesio Valley (near Cuneo). The flora of vascular cryptogams of this region is very rich with 64 species, included in the territory visited by BURNAT and collaborators during the editing of his «Flore des Alpes Maritimes» (1892–1931). |
