Résumé :	The main objective of this study is to compile information on the character and distribution of low intensity farmland systems in Europe, from a primarily nature conservation perspective. It also assesses the way in which these systems are changing and some of the implications for nature conservation. The report is based on a study of nine European countries – France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom – conducted in 1993 and early 1994.
