[CBNPMP-Thématique] Changement climatiqueRésumé : We have quantified floristic changes in alpine snowbeds and wetland vegetation during three decades and analyzed to what extent these changes are related to initial variations in snow cover duration and distance to groundwater level. Vascular plant species richness and total plant cover were estimated along three transects in northern Norway. Three different vegetation zones were identified along the original transects: relatively dry snowbeds, wet snowbeds and wetlands. The resampling shows major changes in species richness and plant cover. In general, there was a net immigration of species and 13 new species were found. Five rare species with initial low cover were lost. In the dry and wet snowbeds, species richness and total plant cover increased, mostly because of invasion by shrubs, graminoids and herbs. A general trend was that species indicating high soil moisture were strongly reduced. In the wetland zones there were no significant floristic changes but hygrophilous species had decreased and were replaced by graminoids and shrub species with lower water requirements. These floristic changes were significantly related to snow and soil moisture conditions, important factors for rate and direction of change. Contrasting vegetation responses within very short distances demonstrate the importance of detailed knowledge of the actual microhabitats when effects of climate change in alpine habitats are considered.

Résumé : 25 new localities for Buxbaumia viridis are presented and its distribution in Norway is mapped and discussed. The species is reported from the counties of Vest-Agder and Sogn og Fjordane for the first time. The number of known localities has more than doubled within the last three years and we think this is due to low bryological activity in the past. The species occurs both on stumps and in young forest stands, and is probably less sensitive to forestry than other red-listed epixylic bryophytes. We assume that its preferrence for rich forest stands is a result of favorable humidity and greater availability of substrate in such stands. The results of plot investigations show that B. viridis is an infrequent species in most areas. However, an estimate based on frequency in randomly selected plots from one test parish, gives a very high number of expected occurrences for that parish. Frequency data obtained from systematic research and permanent plot investigations are necessary to evaluate supposed endangered species using IUCN categories. [CBNPMP-Géographique] NorvègeRésumé : Wild food plants are well recognized as local sources of nutrition that can contrib-ute to food security, but foraging is sometimes viewed as a threat to biologicalconservation. Here, we characterize and assess sustainable foraging in Norwaythrough transdisciplinary research co-constructed with the Norwegian Associationfor Mycology and Foraging. We conducted 19 face-to-face interviews with key stakeholders and produced anonline questionnaire returned by 219 recreational and commercial foragers toenquire about what species are harvested, by whom and how, where do foragerslearn and what are their perspectives on the sustainability of foraging. Foraging fosters a strong connection with the natural environment. Foragersdecide when and how much can be harvested considering location, plant and plantpart being harvested. They pay attention to native plants' conservation status andlocal abundance and plant individual's survival after foraging and aim to not spreadinvasive species. We define sustainable foraging as the knowledge and practices that enable enrich-ing forager–biodiversity relationships over time. Such a definition can support col-laborative sustainability efforts between the academic community and civil society.
